Elba Central School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Education Teacher for our Special Education Team. Our programs are designed to help students with disabilities build their academic and social skills necessary for success. The ideal candidate will be passionate about students fostering independence and supporting transition planning.
Responsibilities:
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction aligned with IEP goals.
- Develop and adapt curriculum materials to support functional academics.
- Support students in developing communication, problem-solving, and self-advocacy.
- Monitor student progress, collect data, and provide regular reports to families and the CSE team.
- Participate in IEP meetings, transition planning, and ongoing professional development.
- Collaborate with community partners to facilitate learning experiences.
Qualifications:
- New York State Certification in Special Education.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
Salary will be based on experience at a step within the Elba Faculty Association Agreement, NYS Teachers' Retirement and benefits package. Elba Central School is seeking an enthusiastic and culturally minded 7–12 Spanish Teacher to join our junior/senior high school. We are looking for a dedicated educator who fosters language proficiency, promotes cross-cultural understanding, and inspires a love of global learning. Prior teaching experience is preferred, and candidates qualified to teach dual enrollment Spanish courses for college credit will be given special consideration. Opportunities to support or lead cultural exchange programs or international travel experiences may be available for the right candidate. Salary will commensurate with experience at a Step, plus masters and graduate credit pay within the Elba Faculty Association Agreement. Join our team as a School Bus Driver and become a vital part of ensuring safe, reliable transportation for students. A class B license with Passenger and School Bus endorsements are required.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses, following designated routes and schedules with precision and care
- Ensure the safety of all passengers by enforcing behavior management policies and maintaining order on the bus
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, mechanical condition, and cleanliness before each route
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, school staff, and dispatchers
Skills
- Class B License with a Passenger and School Bus Endorsement
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of driving safety regulations, traffic laws, and vehicle mechanical basics
- Experience working with children in transportation settings
- Ability to manage behavior effectively and ensure passenger safety at all times
- Mechanical knowledge to perform routine vehicle inspections and minor troubleshooting

Play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment as a Cleaner at ECS! This position is for second shift with hours from 3 pm – 11 pm. Duties for this position incude:
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas including floors, windows, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
- Ensure all surfaces are sanitized according to health and safety standards to promote a hygienic environment
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet paper to maintain continuous availability
- Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling procedures are followed diligently
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately to management for prompt resolution
- Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition through regular checks and basic upkeep
Qualifications
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods during shifts
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within scheduled hours
- Good communication skills for reporting issues or completing documentation as needed
- Prior experience in cleaning or custodial work is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices is a plus
Starting rate for this position is $16.00/hour with an excellent benefits package that includes health, dental and vision insurance, NYS retirement, holidays and paid time off. Make a difference to children as Food Service Helper at ECS. This position is from 10 AM to 12 PM on school days working in our cafeteria. Duties will include:
- Serving students and staff as a cashier in the cafeteria snack line
- Stock and replenish snack items
- Reports to the Cook Manager
- Must be able to bend and lift up to 30 lbs.
